Develops an organization within which the account management function can be carried out.
Works with account managers to develop department goals, objectives, strategies and action plans.
Provides departmental strategies inclusive of individual customer strategies.
Coordinates the execution of customer strategies through account management action plans.
Responsible for written policies and procedures for departmental operation.
Accountable for hiring and training of departmental personnel.
Increases sales volume through both direct-sales effort and by assisting account managers.
In charge of maintaining effective budgetary controls of department expenses.
Responsible for controlling the integrity of the quarterly sales forecast.
Coordinates the sales department with other departments in working towards common goals.
Conducts bi-weekly individual account review meetings with account managers.
Represents sales department in management staff meetings and cascade information to sales staff.
Conducts weekly sales staff meetings.
Responsible for corporate sales presentations .
Covers specific account managers activities during account managers absences.
Identifies new markets and technologies that could affect our sales growth.
Develops a complete knowledge of our competitors.
Responsible for administering performance reviews for department employees.
Responsible for approving quotations to customers when the president is not available.
Performs assigned duties from president.

Education and/ or Experience:
B.S. in Business minimum; with MBA in marketing or management preferred
Ten years experience in direct sales with emphasis on major automotive OEM accounts and
knowledge of automotive industry.
Sales supervisor experience.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Excellent motivator with strong persuasive skills.
