Shift Supervisor MO Open (J#27888)
Experience: 4 - 9 years

We are seeking a processor who will also be able to supervise 5-10 employees. Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience, preferably more and cannot be afraid to get their hands dirty doing mold set-ups as well. Building is climate controlled all year.

Candidate must have the ability to establish a process for new parts, set up production molds as well as samples, troubleshoot and correct process problems at the press, inspect sample parts for accuracy, remove molds form the press and stage for PM to take place.​

Responsibilities

Specific duties include:

Maintaining and utilizing the way we organize and store molds
Secure mold to platen and set up appropriate mold heating and cooling
Creating processes for new parts & loading in processes from either hard copy or electronic file
Determine with Quality department if molded parts are acceptable
Requests mold repairs when necessary
Accurately record process specifications on hard copy or electronic file
Advanced Troubleshooting skills and able to correct process problems at the press
Purge barrel of leftover materials at the conclusion of an order
Remove molds from the press and stage for preventative maintenance
Maintain clean and organized work area with emphasis on safety, quality, & efficiency

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

Previous experience in a plastics manufacturing environment is required
Knowledge of injection molding machines, crystalline and amorphous materials and design techniques
Able to use measuring instruments such as scales, calipers, dial indicators
Physical job requirements: Stand for up to 12 hours.​ Lift up to 70 pounds waist high, carry up to 70 pounds alone.​ Reaching, bending, grasping
Able to use a computer and calculator.​ Able to read and write in English, and do basic arithmetic
Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented work environment
Must be punctual and have good attendance

Preferred qualifications:

Technical school for molding certificate or comparable training from a previous employer

Education Requirements:

High School Diploma or Equivalent Degree
