Sales Manager CA Open (J#24792)

FUNCTION

Rapidly growing plastics packaging company is searching for a Business Development Manager in Southern California. Manage business development growth and sales activities for the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: include the following; other duties may be assigned.

Establish new opportunities to generate leads to grow the business.

Meets with key clients to establish new business; maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals.

Delivers sales presentations to key clients.

Supports customers with project management function as liaison between customer service and client.

Coordinates and executes the entire sale process until delivery and final payment.

Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, areas of proposed client/territory base expansion.

Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.

Gather market intelligence on competition, industry trends, custom fillers, territories, pricing, and annual volume to appropriately implement strategies and identify new opportunities for growth.

Evaluates product expansion to bring profitable items to the sales line.

Develops, implements and maintains strategic sales plans to accommodate company goals.

Provide sales forecasts and sets performance goals accordingly.

Reviews market analysis to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.

Represents company at tradeshows/conferences/meetings to promote product.

Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units in collaboration to make the team successful.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or eight years sales experience with at least five years in sales management or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred. Packaging or contract manufacturing in the personal care/cosmetic industry preferred.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondences, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
