Quality Manager OH 80 - 100k (J#26869)

Plastic Injection Molding Company located in Dayton, OH has an immediate opening for a Quality Assurance Manager. For 50 years, we have supplied ever-increasing services to the plastics industry, from product design to assembly.

You will be responsible for supporting plant quality initiatives tied to process and product quality by performing the following duties:

- Recruit, select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise and review job contributions; plan and review compensation actions; enforce policies and procedures.
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; prepares and completes action plans; implements production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifies and resolves problems; completes audits; determines system improvements; implements change.
- Develops quality assurance plans by conducting risk/hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures; monitoring inventories.
- Support new product development to insure above items are met prior to release of new product to manufacturing.
- Validate quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operation and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedure.
- Lead, facilitate and support continuous improvement activities within the organization to drive continual improvement in all aspects of the business.
- Maintains and improves product quality by completing product, company, system, compliance, and surveillance audits, investigating customer complaints, collaborating with other members of management to develop new product and engineering designs, and manufacturing and training methods.
- Prepares quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and re-validations.
- Main point of contact of customer quality issues.


- Bachelors Degree or equivalent in quality assurance.
- Five to ten years of progressive leadership and management experience in a quality role within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with GD&T and First Article Inspection Reports.
- Familiarity with AIAG APQP and Ppap process and tools.
- Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience working with contract manufacturers, suppliers, or distributors.
- Demonstrated exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience in quality management systems.
- Experience in quality system audits.
