Quality Control Inspector IL 23 - 32k (J#26853)
Education: High School
Experience: 4 - 9 years

Position: Quality Control Inspector (1st,2nd, and 3rd shifts available)
Term: Contract to hire (the intention is for it to be a permanent opportunity)
Location: Chicago, IL (northwest side of Chicago)
Rate: Depending on experience, $11/hr to $15/hr

Job description: Perform inspection of In-Process & Final products for Injection Molded plastic parts and assemblies.

Interpret quality plans and inspect as directed.
Perform inspections for Start-up approval, In-Process parts, and Final audits.
Be able to accurately document and record Inspection results.
Perform Functional testing using various equipment (Force gauge, torque tester, and other miscellaneous instruments).
Perform incoming inspections on raw materials.
Work with close tolerance parts
Be able to identify Non-Conformances and generate Reject forms.
Lead quarantine activities when Non-Conformance product/material is identified.
Communicate with Quality supervisor/manager, shift supervisor, and company managers when non-conforming processes and/or product are identified.
Review all Quality Alerts with operators and other quality staff.
Follows ISO quality management system guidelines.
Carries out all job duties, maintaining Safe work habits and GMP guidelines.
Other duties as assigned by QC Manager

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
2-5 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector
Communicate effectively in English
Adequate Verbal and Writing skills
High School education - GED
Understands general Plastic part drawings and tolerances
Knowledge in use of measuring instruments: Caliper, micrometer, drop gauges, and optical comparator.
Able to lift up to 35 lbs.
Basic computer skills and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry.
SPC Knowledge and Ram Optical Vision System, is a plus.
