Quality Auditor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform visual, dimensional and functional inspection of routine and non-routine nature on a variety of component parts most of which is plastic molded.

Collect and record attribute and variable statistical data, maintaining such control charts as X Bar and R Charts, P Charts, and perform histogram percent defective calculations.

Perform data entries into established computer system.

Use a variety of inspection and gauging equipment such as micrometers, calipers, plug gauges, torque gauges, and special gauges.

Work from engineering prints, spec sheets, inspection plans and verbal instructions.

Must maintain and properly organize records of inspection performed.

Must have adequate communication skills to explain requirements to operators, train operators on acceptability of parts and effectively communicate with engineering concerning audit findings.

QUALIFICATIONS: Mathematical Skills - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Skills - The ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands - While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and, six months to one years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
