Project Engineer OK Open (J#27240)
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 4 - 9 years


This position is responsible for the design, development and coordination of Carlisle FoodService Product specific projects from concept to production using Solidworks, Finite Element Analysis and mold flow. This position requires a working knowledge of Solidworks design software, plastics design, processing, tooling and specification.


Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsible for product design and development; tooling and processing evaluations and Finite Element Analysis using Solid Works; determining the best processing methods for new products; obtaining tooling and product quotes; communicating product criteria to rapid prototypers via 3D models and/or drawing files.

Responsible for the adherence to Phase Gate new product development methodologies and related developmental tools.

Responsible for utilizing Industrial Designers and outside Engineering services to obtain several design options per project, narrowing those options and developing a manufacturable product in the most efficient and cost effective manner.

Responsible for effectively communicating product criteria and specifications to Carlisles Global Procurement division via 3D and 2D files, specification sheets, email, etc.

Responsible for material specification, project quoting, fixture design, feasibility studies and assisting Manufacturing and Assembly with product startup. All relating to new product development.

Responsible for providing support to Carlisle domestic and international locations via email, teleconference, video conference and on site, with up to 25% travel required.

Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and Supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and react quickly and positively to changes in priority and/or direction.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and Human Resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as the best of own ability.

RequirementsBachelors degree in engineering discipline or equivalent and at least 5 years of work experience in plastic injection molding required
Strong proficiency in engineering management
Understanding of mechanical drawing, solid model and mold flow comprehension
Proficiency in 3D CAD, SolidWorks preferred, and Microsoft Office experience
Good communication skills and the ability to professionally interface with internal/external personnel as needed.
Ability to work in a team environment & lead cross functional groups
Ability to coordinate and work on numerous projects simultaneously
