Production Manager IL Open (J#12169)

SUMMARY:
One of CCC's premier plants in Elk Grove Village, IL has a need for strong Production Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for an aggressive individual who is ready to be mentored and groomed for plant management. The Production Manager directly manages 4 Production Supervisors and approximately 100 union employees with overall responsibility for safety, quality, productivity, training and continuous improvement on all production lines. Holds key leadership roles in Steering Committees for above areas. Provides input for all capital requirements and major repair jobs; and is directly responsible for implementation and financial accountability.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage a safe, clean, and efficient work environment
Implantation and management of processes, programs, and standards at the plant to achieve delivery of products, packages, and loads to the customer that meet or exceed defined expectations.
Insure that plant testing standards, procedures, and equipment provide reliable results and prevent shipment of off quality products.
Determines product conformance to specifications throughout product cycle: incoming, in-process, and finished product inspection
Makes appropriate plant level decisions and participates in regional decisions around production and disposition of product
Manages plant, laboratory and facility for production and inspection
Plant resource to train, mentor and develop Plant personnel in the daily use of Quality tools and Production Equipment
Plant resource for leading and facilitating of problem-solving/ process improvement activities
Provides leadership for continuous improvement resulting in productivity gains from doing it right the first time.
Provide for audits of manufacturing facilities to assess compliance to national standards for sanitation, product safety, and quality systems while meeting external requirements of customers and regulatory agencies.
Plant Resource for successful new product launches, ensuring clear specifications, process capability, and attainment of customer satisfaction on initial shipments.
Develop the Plant's annual quality plan
Develop the Plant's annual production plant and budget

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

5+years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment

Excellent communication skills
