Process Technician NY Open (J#27099)
Experience: 4 - 9 years

POP Displays USA is offering an excellent opportunity for an experienced Process Technician at our Yorkers, campus. This is a 435,000 sq. ft facility with manufacturing, assembly, and warehousing capabilities. This facility also houses our corporate offices. The Process Technician will obtain priorities from the Shift Coordinator and complete mold sets and startups of jobs in accordance to quality criteria. You will set up, start up & troubleshooting of injection molding process. Work with a sense or urgency to promote on time delivery and lowered setup times. You will also coordinate with Material Handlers to ensure that part to part-internal setup time is minimized. This individual will also be responsible for adhering to the quality plan standards for each part run and must be able to visually identify defective parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned:
Troubleshoot and optimize equipment for maximum cycle time efficiency.
Maintain machine efficiency rates
Keeps work areas clean of oil, rags, cans and water and remove all purged plastic.
Accurately document machine process settings and processes changes with required forms.
Assist with quality checks during shift and ensure material for production is at the machine.
Perform first piece and in-process inspections.

Qualifications:
Able to install injection molds, setup auxiliary and secondary equipment.
Have knowledge of different material and machine types, and proper processing methods of each and the ability to utilize different methods of ensuring product quality, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, pin gauges, etc.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints.
Self-motivated and have the ability to motivate those around you through action and behavior.
Be available to work overtime if needed
Trouble shooting skills - root cause analysis
Knowledge of injection molding machines, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical codes and equipment
Ability to communicate effectively with team personnel/Bi-Lingual Preferred

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 years processing/plastics experience or equivalent combination of education, certification and work experience.
