Process Technician NC Open (J#27644)
Education: High School
Experience: 1 - 3 years

We are currently seeking a Second Shift Injection Mold Process Technician. Primary duties include but are not limited to:
sets and establishes operating conditions, monitors operations and monitors operators in the plastic injection molding
manufacturing area. Responsible for directing and monitoring the execution of the production schedule as well as
performing mold and/or material changes as dictated by the schedule; performing process troubleshooting, part
inspections and various other functions to insure part conformity and quality; verifying paperwork for jobs and completion
of inspections at start-up of jobs and in process inspections; monitoring and preparing support equipment, personnel and
maintenance as needed.

Tasks (not all inclusive):

Set up, operate, and tend to plastic molding parts or products. Takes corrective action when necessary.
Set up, operate, or tend robots used in the processing machines to place, remove, or inspect parts, labels and other
thermoplastic parts or products.
Observe continuous operation of automatic machine to ensure that product meet specifications and to detect jams or
malfunctions, making adjustments as necessary.
Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimension defects in order to ensure conformance to
specifications, using precision measuring instruments.
Position and secure labels into machines, and start feeding mechanisms.
monitor and control computerized processes of machines to regulate pressure, temperature, and speed and feed rates,
and to set cycle times.
Move controls to activate and adjust molding and forming machines.
Record details of machine malfunctions.
Notify other workers of defects, and take actions to adjust molding and forming machines.
Press buttons to stop machines when processes are complete or when malfunctions are detected
Use proper safety procedures and processes to prevent injuries and damage to machine and other personnel
Load materials into press and forming machines, using hand tools, and adjust feed mechanisms to set feed rates.
Remove finished or cured products from dies or molds, using hand tools, air hoses and other equipment.
Install mold onto according to work order specifications.

Qualification/Job requirements:
This is a second shift position, 1:45pm to 10:15pm
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have 3-5 year minimum experience
Ability to read and understand measurements on drawing and relate how they are in relation to the equipment.
Read and decipher blueprints to set standard operating conditions
