Process Technician IN Open (J#28024)

Job Description
Poly-Tainer Inc is a privately-owned plastics molding manufacturer that specializes in HDPE, LDPE, PVC and PET containers. We are seeking experienced technicians for our injection stretch blow molding and extrusion blow molding platforms (various shifts available).

Locations Simi Valley, CA and Indianapolis, IN

The technicians responsibility includes insuring that the operation of the blow molding lines are running effectively and efficiently in accordance with documented process to ensure quality product is consistently manufactured.

Specific Duties include but are not limited to:

Working knowledge of Injection Stretch Blow Molding and Extrusion Blow molding machinery such as Jomar, Sinco, Bekum, and Nissei.

Receives adjustment priorities from the Shift Supervisor.

Responsible for meeting and maintaining quality standards set by Q.A. Dept.

Sets up machines with standard cycle time for production.

Responsible for required adjustments needed to fulfill the product specification requirements such as weight, color distribution, and cycle times.

Setup molds as required by production schedule.

Check and maintain quality of the product being produced by identifying acceptable and non-acceptable product.

Work independently from verbal and/or written instructions from the Shift Supervisor.

Communicate with off-going/on-coming technicians.

Documenting ending cycle process parameter and any tool issues as appropriate.

The ability to monitor the process and show an awareness of issues and demonstrate corrective actions to address those issues.

Required to read and interpret documents, as well as write routine reports and correspondence.

Performs change over's, set-up's and processing of materials, colors and parts.

Knowledge of blending equipment and color feeders.

Knowledge of optimum processing temperatures for standard materials.

Use of hand tools and standard power tools on a regular basis.

Performs repairs, installation and maintenance of equipment on an as need basis to ensure efficient operation of machines.

Identifying and reporting potential equipment issues.

Qualified candidates should possess:

3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience, extrusion and/or injection stretch blow molding environment a plus.

Strong troubleshooting skills.

Strong, hands-on PLC and controls experience.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills combined with a professional demeanor.
