Process Technician IL Open (J#27394)
Experience: 4 - 9 years

We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Process Molding Technician to join the Production team at our Libertyville location!

Responsible in the monitoring and processing of machines to ensure safety and high quality and maximize machine efficiency. Good knowledge of Scientific Injection Molding principles or RJG Decoupled Molding. Strong on the floor leadership role utilizing an analytical and troubleshooting techniques for achieving continuous improvement. Strongly motivated in growing personal injection molding/work skills by advancing successfully through company training program.

Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures.
Document and verify daily process conditions. Log changes as required. Create detailed mold repair work information form sheets as needed.
Assist or perform mold changes & color changes as required. (Hydraulic, Electric, & Bi-Injected Machines)
Communicate with prior and on coming shift personnel regarding daily issues encountered.
Diagnose and resolve equipment/quality problems within molding cell working with molding support groups as required. (Tool Room, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering)
Hands on processing and troubleshooting of the molding process utilizing SIM/Decoupled theory.
Ensure that the raw materials within work cell are properly dispositioned and organized working with Material Handles and Machine Operators.
Investigate scrap reduction techniques within work cell.
Working with Supervisor, brainstorm continuous improvement ideas to maximize productivity and efficiencies.
Maintain work area to acceptable safety and housekeeping standards.
Assist other technicians as needed.
Review and Plan production activities in conjunction with department production monitoring system. (Barco)
Perform other duties as required.

Required Education/Skills:
High School Diploma/GED preferred, but not required
Minimum 3 years experience in an injection molding environment
Proven problem-solving abilities
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Strong Molding and Processing Skills
Availability and flexibility (Overtime, if needed)
Basic MS Office experience (Word)
Team player with good attitude and strong work ethic
Riding forklift operator certification
Use of overhead crane for mold installation
Read and Write English
Use of basic injection molding measurement instruments (Weigh Scale, Calipers, Pyrometer, etc.
Strong mechanical skills and good reasoning ability
Ability to train others

Work Environment:
Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequently required to stand, sit, bend and kneel
Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle/reach tools, machines, and equipment
Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles
