Process Technician CO Open (J#27819)
Education: High School
Experience: 1 - 3 years

Able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Able to perform required machine tasks.
Able to work in changing environmental conditions (such as temperature and noise).

Must be dependable, punctual and have a good attendance record.
Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
Self-motivated and require minimal supervision.
Be a team player that works well with others.
Demonstrate professional conduct at all times and be quality driven.

Obtain set up and start up priorities from the Process Engineer or Mold Set Technician and assist in mold and tooling changes.
Strict adherence to the quality plan standards for each part run.
Able to visually identify defective parts..
Monitor process parameters during part run and take appropriate proactive action to maintain the specified SPC limits.
Troubleshoot and optimize equipment for maximum cycle time efficiency.
Maintain machine efficiency rates at 95% with a scrap rate less than 2% per part.
Keeps work areas clean of oil, rags, cans and water and remove all purged plastic.
Proficient in the use of dimensional measuring equipment for quality control checks.
Accurately document machine process settings and processes changes with required forms.
Assist with mold sets, maintain quality checks during shift and ensure material for production is at the machine.
Assist in QC with accurate first piece and in-process inspections.
Use of Mattec, Fourth Shift, IQMRP, RJG, and Prohelp as required.
Notify a Coordinator of any machine problems.
Perform necessary mathematical computations
Attend required training classes.
Be available to work overtime if needed.
Strong mechanical aptitude
Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.

High school diploma or GED.
2 year degree in plastic processing or equivalent experience.

A minimum of 3 years in the field of plastics manufacturing.
A minimum of 1 year of mold set experience.

Knowledge of ISO 9002 protocol.
Ability to speak English and Spanish
