The Process & Mold Innovation Leader Research & Development is responsible for developing new injection molding processes, leveraging proprietary new processing technology. The successful candidate must have a track record of innovation, extensive experience managing technology development programs, and an ability to solve tough technical challenges. The candidate will be responsible to explore new technology applications, and develop new technology that generates breakthrough productivity improvements for injection molding processes. The role will manage and lead the development of processes, control strategies, new control systems, and design fully integrated control solutions. This position will be located in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Reporting to the Vice President of Research & Development, this candidate must possess strong leadership skills, ability to manage complexity and set priorities, strong communication skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively with customers and teams. Successful candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, and have strong skills in the areas of: plastics processing techniques; injection molding control systems & operation; strong written and oral communication skills; and experience designing scientific studies and statistical data analysis.

Responsibilites include:

Lead a team of experts delivering a technology development portfolio.
Develop technical mastery involving a proprietary new injection molding processing technology, which will require a deep knowledge of polymers, control systems, signal processing and sensor packages.
Lead the development of learning plans, develop scientific test plans, and oversee the execution of needed technical studies.
Lead a team of experts to deliver major customer initiatives implementing new technology developments.

Bachelor level degree or higher in a mechanical field preferred (other degrees considered)
10+ years experience in Injection Molding Processes
Previous experience managing technical development programs
Previous experience with scientific test design
Previous experience conducting statistical data analysis of results
Hands on injection mold processing experience
Injection mold design experience is desired
Previous experience collaborating with customers is desired
Limited travel is required
