Process Engineer IL Open (J#27499)
Education: Associates Degree
Experience: 4 - 9 years

Function:
Responsible for the sustainability of existing and future production as well as Continuous Improvement projects of the molding department.

Responsibilities:
Support and maintain all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures.
Warrant the highest efficiency at all times (in terms of cycle time, quality, safety for both employees and machines, and sustainability) of all molding processes across the factory. Monitor machine/process operations and documentation to ensure quality standards are maintained. Follow data and process documentation.
Develop molding procedures to ensure consistent application of molding techniques.
Diagnose and resolve equipment problems on molding cells. Determine and implement corrective actions and evaluate effectiveness as appropriate. Provide continuous Floor support.
Responsible for the blocked cavities management through cavity regain or support to tool repair action plan.
Lead continuous improvement programs across molding department. Monitor molding and secondary equipment for uptime, safety, quality, efficiency, and scrap. Owner of the production scrap rate indicator.
Assist R&D on New product development. Develop process parameters based on material, machine, and mold capabilities and document as required/control for accurate information.
Instruct molding personnel through informal and formal training. Lead and promote the team.
Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Operations.

Required Education/Skills:
BS Degree or equivalent experience
5 years experience in manufacturing/production environment, or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years in a similar position
Proven molding and processing skills
Proven problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills; leader by example
Availability and flexibility
MS Office experience

Work Environment:
Occasionally required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequently required to stand, sit, bend and kneel
Frequently required to use hands and fingers to handle/reach tools, machines, and equipment
Exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, and airborne particles
Noise levels in the plant can be loud hearing protection may be required
