Growing and successful company in Northern California is searching for a Sr. Injection Molding Process Engineer. Works with Operations Manager and Shift Supervisor. Responsible for new mold and problematic mold sampling, solving issues and improving efficiencies within the production department, this involves close contact with not only production, but also the quality and tooling departments.

Essential Job Duties:

Start-up and correct new tooling as it arrives, work with engineering on getting the parts sampled and QA to get them approved
Familiarity with Poller/MRP Software
Develop and maintain ISO 9001 documentation
Identify issues and work-up visible solutions
Work with QA to better establish testing methods
Insure all employees are supervised in compliance with companys guidelines and state and federal regulations
Train, assign, evaluate (annual skill sets), and suggest recommendations of employment for regular and temporary employees
Monitor and assist on all aspects of new product implementation during design, building and release to production
Adjust injection mold machine using manual speed and pressure adjustments on all types of machines
Operate optical comparator
Inspect parts under quality control procedures
Clean machines, pack product, regrind plastic and clip runners off parts
Perform cavity adjustments as required


Work on problem solving on assigned tasks with minimal supervision
Use of all equipment safely and with a high level of expertise
Five years of experience working with injection molding machines
English, reading, and math skills sufficient to read and complete all technical related documents, including work orders and shift reports
Learn quality control inspection procedures by using optical comparator and completing proper documentation
Repeated lifting, leveraging and carrying up to 50 pounds for both short and longer distance and over variety of walking surfaces
Repeated, regular, and extended sliding, twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching and reaching
Ability to maintain machines should there be technical malfunction (depending upon the level of experience)
