Job SummarybrThis position holds primary responsibility for all plant operations.brDirects and coordinates, in accordance with Company policies and procedures, the Plant Line and Staff organizations so that production, quality and quantity requirements are met, costs are within budgetary standards, and best manufacturing practices are utilized in the maintenance and conservation of equipment and facilities. Develops a continuous improvement culture utilizing lean manufacturing principles in a unionized environment.brEssential Job and Quality FunctionsbrPlans and coordinates manufacturing activities to meet customer expectations.brEstablish production standards to meet Company and customer requirements.brEnsure establishment and adherence of procedures to maintain quality standards.brEnsures preventive maintenance of equipment and machinery.brMaintains accurate inventory of products.brNurtures customer relations and is responsive to their needs.brDevelops and maintains positive relations with the community.Routinely reviews documents and process to ensure cost effectiveness of operations.brEnsures personnel polices are applied consistently. Comply with OSHA and Company safety and hygiene standardsbrEnsure compliance with all Equal Opportunity lawsbrCreate and monitor all goalsbrSupervisory ResponsibilitiesbrProduction Manager, QA Manager and Maintenance ManagerbrRelationshipsbrA.Responsible to Regional Manager for performance of assigned functions and cooperates with Division Staff Departments for guidance and advice.brB.Exercises direct control over Plant functions and Coordinates line and staff activities so that plant objectives are met.brC.Conducts relationships with the public as necessary to foster sound community relations.brD.Maintains contacts with Sales Offices so that customer requirements are effectively met and maximum utilization of plant facilities is obtained.brE.Maintain positive relations with Customers and addresses issues promptly.br

REQUIREMENTS:brbrLeadership of the plant in meeting EBITDA, customer, and operational requirements. Must have a strong background in operations that includes meticulous and diligent control systems, along with a proven track record of high performance. Must have the ability to identify key plant resources and the development of the same in order to build a sustainable culture of control and outstanding quality and financial performance. Detail orientation, customer intimacy, continuous improvement skills are key components of the required leadership style.brMinimum 5 years in a plant management role with a demonstrated track record of achieving plant production goals. brBachelors degree preferred but not required.brExperience in plastic or other container manufacturing is preferredbrExperience with Uniloy Blow Molding machines a plusbrExperience with CMMS (such as Asset Controller); Budgeting and Financial Control; Ceridian Time and Attendance a plusbr
