Plant Manager OK Open (J#27331)
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 4 - 9 years

This position directs and manages all plant operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality and other production-related activities. Facilitates maintenance and directs efforts for testing new material. The person in this position must be highly organized, self- motivated; have a working knowledge of budgets and financial statements; and is required to have a background in process manufacturing technologies. Experience with injection and rotational manufacturing methods are preferred. Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and 5S processes are required of this position. Demonstrated experiences driving improved performance in the areas of employee engagement and improved safety performance is required.

This person demonstrates ethical leadership qualities in the improvement of Safety, Quality, Cost and Delivery performance measures for the site.

Directs and manages plant operations for production, scheduling, maintenance, quality, engineering, shipping and receiving.

Cooperates with management team in formulating and establishing company policies and operating procedures.

Leads, evaluates, coaches and trains manufacturing personnel when necessary.

Coordinates plant activities through the planning with departmental managers to insure the total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost effective manner.

Develops and controls profits, plans, and budget.

Implements cost effective systems of control over capital, operating expenditures, manpower, wages and salaries.

Manages capital asset maintenance.

Establishes and monitors overall plant performance for production and quality standards
Develops and implements standard operating procedures.
Controls and minimizes labor overtime, premium freight and repair expenses.

Maintains existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.

Provides leadership and training to accomplish the company goals and objectives. Incorporates shop floor organization and plant cleanliness among plant personnel. Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisor.
Responsible for aiding in own self-development by being available and receptive to all training made available by the company.

Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job description, and Supervisor's instruction in such a way as to maximize personal output.

Responsible for keeping own immediate work area in a neat and orderly condition to ensure safety of self and co-workers. Will report any unsafe conditions and/or practices to the appropriate supervisor and Human Resources. Will immediately correct any unsafe conditions as to the best of own ability.

Bachelor's degree (B.
