Molding Manager TX Open (J#27170)

have a new opening for the position of Injection Molding Manager. Our Medivators Procedural (located
in Conroe, TX) group designs, manufactures and sells an innovative array of disposable infection control
products intended to eliminate the need of sterilizing and reusing numerous components used in
gastrointestinal (GI) endoscopy procedures.

Job Overview
This position will be responsible for management of all aspects of the Injection Molding Department,
personnel, production, and equipment. This position will closely monitor the Key Performance Indicator
for the department and will support new product introductions. The Molding Manager will be responsible
for all training requirements and employee development for the Injection Molding Department. Will be
required to work closely with purchasing/planning management to ensure raw material levels are
maintained and correctly estimated. This position requires a thorough knowledge and understanding of
injection molding machines, FDA manufacturing regulatory requirements and departmental safety

Essential Duties and responsibilities:
Production scheduling
Establish production standards
Locating and acquiring adequate staff
Recommendations on equipment capacity
Develop annual Departmental Budgets
Identify and achieve KPIs
Capital budgeting
Accountable for production goals based on standards
Manage production staff and scheduling
Monitor new industry technology for beneficial implementation ideas
Establish and maintain departmental production instructions
Annual department budgeting
Employee time card review and vacation scheduling
Ensure proper tool and machine maintenance
Manage Departmental growth based on estimated forecast
Establish a departmental training program and lead employee training sessions
Attend regular management meetings
Generate monthly reports on labor efficiency, standard cost, and capacity
Perform employee reviews
Work with Research and Development on new designs that will require injection molding
Other duties as assigned by Director

Qualifications required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Polymer and/or Plastics/Materials Engineering, manufacturing
Engineering or Business degree.
Strong supervisory and departmental management skills required (minimum 5 years experience )
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Injection molding and/or medical
device experience a plus)
Prior successful supervisory experience in Injection Molding environment
Comprehensive knowledge and thorough understanding of injection molding processes, manufacturing
equipment, automation robotics and auxiliary equipment.
