Mold Maker NJ 45 - 65k (J#26499)
Experience: 4 - 9 years

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the maintenance and repairs of all injection molding
tools. Candidate will also build fixtures and dies to engineer-supplied drawings.
We are seeking a self-directed, hands-on individual with a extensive experience working in a fast-paced,
efficiency-focused manufacturing environment and will successfully work alongside engineers, production
and Quality Control personnel. Candidates currently in any of these job titles or job titles similar are
invited to submit a resume: Machinist-precision/Tool and Die Maker/Journeyman Machinist/Toolroom
CNC programmer/Toolroom machinist.

Maintenance and repair of injection molds as well as spare parts management
Work from complicated drawings and specifications use a wide variety of precision instruments for
exacting measurements
Perform difficult machining operations requiring complicated set-ups of a myriad of equipment
including Milling machines (manual and CNC), Manual lathes Surface Grinders, some limited EDM
(plunger) work
Perform critical bench and assembly operations to fit, align, calibrate, adjust, assemble and finish
Receive and inspect new tooling built by outside shops and perform necessary checks to ensure
proper funactionality (water test, shut-offs, safety switches, heaters, electrical circuirty)
May act a lead person on any given tooling project, allocating work to tool room personnel
specializing in the various areas of machining and bench operations
Interact with tooling vendors. Review tool designs from vendors, offer suggestions
Assume responsibility for quality workmanship and dimensions accuracy
Clean and oil machines and maintain clean and orderly work area
Comply with all OSHA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) safety procedures. Exercise
necessary safety precautions
High degree of self-direction and independent thinking required to plan and execute the jobs.
Support the documentation to tool charges
Participate in Continuous Improvement Process'
Plans and repairs maintenance of the molds
Gives technical support to the designer according to the mold design
Coordination with outside repairs and changes

Minimum 3 years experience as a Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment with injection molding
Fabricate parts using machine tools and hands on skills
Knowledge of and ability to use gages to determine dimensional requirements
Also able to handle pressure, interruptions and meet deadlines
Must be willing to work flexible working hours
Experience with milling, turning, drilling and grinding machines and CNC technology. Tolerancing
down to 0.0001" (0.0025mm )
Thorough knowledge of the lock-out/tag-out procedures
Basic understanding of electrical power circuitry
Some heavy lifting may be required as well as applying heavy torques using large hand tools
Work must sometimes be performed in awkward positions and climbing up and down ladders
Light computer skills are necessary
Ability to utilize typical mold & die maker tools and machinery, welding equipment, overhead bridge
