Mold Maker IL Open (J#26548)
Education: High School
Experience: 4 - 9 years

Description: 2nd Shift (2-10p.m.) - The Mold Maker will assume the responsibility of performing developmental work and advanced tool room machining operations, taking into consideration properties and characteristics of molding materials.

-Perform duties to plan, layout, design develop, repair, and maintain in house tooling.
-Alter a wide variety of experimental and production molds to improve and provide the highest quality requirements.
-Work from complex prints, sketches, tool drawings, manuals, formulas and verbal instructions
-Determine causes and correct malfunctions as required, some specialized knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic operating applications are necessary.
-Perform all tool room machining operations taking into consideration the use of the most time effective and accurate methods. Use the highest degree of mold making skills in performing required duties.
-Capable of operating assigned machine tools, measuring devices, and checking equipment in the tool room.
-Requires strong analytical, numerical and reasoning ability.
-Results oriented with the ability to balance other business considerations.
-Understands and interacts well within a customer relationship.
-Must be capable of lifting and handling 50-pound mold components.
-Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills and adequate computer skills to process internal and external request.

Requirements: Journeyman: Four (4) years of high school, three (3) years minimum Tooling & Manufacturing Association, or American Mold Builders Apprentice training and minimum five (5) years work experience.
