Education: High School
Experience: 4 - 9 years

POSTION SUMMARY

The fabrication of mold tooling for production from drawings and blueprints, sketches and follow verbal and written instructions.

Have a good understanding and ability to operate all machinery to perform your duties
Perform other assigned tasks as required

EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS TO BE USED

Experience in the following (among others): manual milling machines, surface grinding machines, manual lathes and EDM machines
Ability to accurately use all measuring equipment required to complete all duties
(i.e. micrometers, calipers, indicators) among others
Study and understand blueprints and drawings to better determine the best way to perform all machining operations

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION
1-2 year certificate from college or technical school with minimum of 7 years mold making experience
State apprenticeship program papers or
Trade school certificates; schooling
EXPERIENCE
Minimum 10 years experience in mold making; preferred journeyman state apprenticeship program
Strong skills in trigonometry and all units of measure; using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to compute ration, rate and percent
Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
Ability to work on large projects with other associates in a combined team approach
Master cam programming skills
Good understand of CNC programming and CNC mill, CNC wire, and CNC sinker EDM set-up and operations
