Mold Maker CA Open (J#27760)

Overview:

Performs complex molding and machining operations in support of product and tooling development and on going production activities.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:

Performs to individual KPIs/goals established during performance reviews and/or goal setting meetings.

Responsible for the development, support and implementation of new and/or improvement to molding processes.

Under general supervision, utilizes expansive knowledge and abilities to work on assignments that are non-routine in nature and where no established procedures may exist.

In this position, tasks are difficult requiring the use of initiative and judgment.

Resolve molding issues for optimum utilization.

Assist in the development and manufacture of new products.

Maintain technical coordination with engineer and design staff members.

Studies blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample part to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts, sequence of operations, and setup requirements.

Set-up and operate machine tools to fabricate plastic injection molds, tool fixtures, and prototype components.

Verifies work to insure dimensions are within prescribed tolerances.

Assures product meets or exceeds company and customer expectations of quality and workmanship.

Train molding personnel as required.

Provide technical support for production molding equipment.

Reads, understands and adheres to appropriate company and department policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, safe and productive workplace and quality products and customer service.

Must immediately report any and all unsafe conditions and/or work related injuries/illnesses to supervisor.

Performs other duties, as assigned, to maintain efficiency throughout the company.

Requirements:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma and seven to ten years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience; or as deemed appropriate by the Senior Management of ResMed Motor Technologies.

PREREQUISITES:

Ability to Read, Interpret and Understand Blue Prints

Knowledge and Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance

Knowledge of Basic Shop Math Good written and verbal communication skills

Working Knowledge of ANSI Y 14.5

Mechanical Inspection Knowledge

Ability to Use a Personal Computer

Ability to Lift and Carry a Minimum of 25lbs.

Ability to Stand for Long Periods of Time (As much as 7-10 hours)
