Mold Engineer KY 55 - 65k (J#27527)
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 1 - 3 years


1.Participate in new program design reviews.
2.Participate in new mold design reviews with mold builders and TG mold group.
3.Manage new mold programs-quality, cost and delivery.
4.Manage new mold texture implementation, QCD.
5.Manage mold modifications for all ECIs, QTRs and internal tooling request (MSCNs).
6.Support and recommend countermeasures for new and current part quality issues.
7.Attend and support check fixture events at customer.
8.Attend and support new mold trials at mold builder and suppliers.
9.Calculate sales cost and leadtime for ECIs, QTRs and internal mold changes.
10.Negotiate actual mold modification cost for engineering changes.
11.Work closely with internal and external mold shops to implement and confirm mold changes.
12.Source multiple mold builders, based on QCD and capacity for new plastic injection mold projects.
13.Confirm Toyoda Gosei mold standard specifications are met for new molds


1.BS in Engineering +5 years project management experience (Automotive preferred).


1.Demonstrates exceptional project management skills.
2.Ability to effectively communicate requirements in order to achieve desired outcome.
3.Strong multi-tasking capability.
4.Competent, self-motivated and takes ownership in job assignments.
5.Ability to read drawings and identify critical quality characteristics.
6.Ability to perform design reviews, PFEMA development/updating and root cause analysis.
7.Skilled in using Microsoft Office and MS Project.


1.Skilled in using AutoCAD or other drafting software.
2.Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS) / Lean Manufacturing.
3.Experience with TS16949 and the automotive industry as a supplier.
4.Familiarity with Toyota, Honda, Nissan and/or GM in a supplier setting.
5.Experience in a cross-cultural work environment.
6.Negotiation skills in relationship to product development with customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and co-workers.
7.Skilled in visual management and presentations.
8.PMI / PMP Training Certification a plus.
