Maintenance Technician MA Open (J#26749)

We seek an experienced, disciplined individual to coordinate & perform maintenance of equipment at our Plymouth, Massachusetts manufacturing facility and, as needed, at our West Bridgewater, MA facility. Will be responsible for the installation, repair & maintenance of all injection molding presses and secondary equipment needed to support the daily operation of our manufacturing plant and warehouse. Must have the ability to read and understand hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic schematics. Must have knowledge of programmable controls and understand ladder logic. Will design, build, and troubleshoot various control systems for post-mold assembly and test equipment. Requires upper-level troubleshooting and repair skills for all electro-mechanical systems and strong mechanical ability.


Applicants must be able to perform these key duties:

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair as necessary all manufacturing equipment on a daily basis.
Maintain water system and air systems in all buildings.
Work regularly and in unison with Engineers & Operations to optimize the machines performance and the factories usage.
Maintain and troubleshoot equipment
Maintain a PM system to assign, perform and track completion of all PM duties.
Perform basic electrical review and repair.
Research and purchase repair parts and shop tools as needed.
Participate in continuous improvement projects including training, CPARS, 8ds, 5 whys, etc.
Perform PLC programming for new systems, repair, or improvements.
Design and build controls for electro-mechanical systems.
Work with manufacturing engineer in the design & installation of automated systems as needed.
Troubleshoot and repair existing automation equipment, including electrical, pneumatic and mechanical devices.
Provide upper-level support for automation technicians.
Perform various other miscellaneous duties as required.


AS in Mechanical Engineering or at least 3 years equivalent electrical/technical work experience
Experience in a custom and automated injection molding manufacturing environment a plus.
Comprehensive knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems and the ability to understand schematic diagrams.
Knowledge of analog and programmable controls and understanding of ladder logic.
High level of mechanical aptitutde
Familiarity with SPC, Blueprint Reading, PFMEA, Lockout/Tagout and Forklift Training.
Ability to work in team environment with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
