Maintenance Supervisor AL Open (J#14682)
Experience: 4 - 9 years

Our client is seeking a maintenance supervisor to oversee two facilities. The qualified candidate will ensure production operations by determining work priorities and scheduling repair, maintenance,and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Support product development and improvement by reviewing new product plans; discussing equipment needs and modifications with design engineers; coordinating activities of technicians and workers fabricating or modifying machines, tools, or equipment.

Provide heat, steam, electric power, gas and air by directing installation of, modification to,and maintenance activities on utility systems.

Designs, implements,and modifies preventative maintenance programs by reviewing production, quality and maintenance reports and statistics; inspecting operating machines, equipment,and systems for conformance with operational standards.

Identifies current and future maintenance requirements by conferring with management, engineering, quality, production personnel and technicians.

Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual maintenance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and, initiating corrective action.

Protects associates and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment.

Directs all maintenance operations by initiating, coordinating, scheduling and assigning associates and following up on work results.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 6-10 employees in the Maintenance & Housekeeping Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
