Injection Molding Sr. Technician, NIGHT SHIFT

[DESCRIPTION]
POSITION SUMMARY
Primary function is to set-up, trouble shoot, and operate all machine tools and equipment in the molding department
Perform set-ups that will assure the safety of the machine operator
Understand the quality, inspection and company routing systems as described in the Sunbank QMS
Ability to oversee, monitor, and perform all operations for the entire Plastic Injection Molding Department
Set-up mold tooling for production runs
Program and adjust to molding machines production parameters
Interface with production control on work scheduling and purchasing material needs
Complete understanding and knowledge of all support equipment and their controls
Ability to performcavity and core changeovers
Strong mechanical ability and hand tool skills
Perform other assigned tasks as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION
High school diploma or equivalent
One year certificate from college or technical school
Equivalent combination of education or experience
Ability to carry out basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide) all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Must have the ability to read, write and speak English
Ability to to compute rate, ratio percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
EXPERIENCE
Three to six months related experience and/or training
Some computer skills required
Must have good understanding and use of measuring equipment

ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES (preferred)
Plastic Injection Set-up and molding experience (10 years minimum)
Trade school electronic or plastic training a plus

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATION
Certified lift truck driver (preferred, if not, training will be provided)
