Project Engineer
SUMMARY
Responsible for analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates for products, projects, or services. May apply knowledge of specialized methodologies, techniques, principles, or processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Successful candidate will work in estimating, preparing quotes for customers and maintain listing of costs, standard items, and materials for local facility. Maintains quote files and logs quotes in and out in the absence of estimator. Verifies accuracy of all quotes. Reviews data to determine material and labor requirements and prepares itemized lists. Computes cost factors and prepares estimates used for management purposes, such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work, preparing bids, selecting vendors or subcontractors, and determining cost effectiveness. Conducts special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions. Consults with clients, vendors, or other individuals to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Provides and maintains documentation required for preparing and justifying quotes to management. In addition, direct integration of technical activities and products with company staff may be included in role. Other duties may be assigned and this position will require that the successful candidate show personal initiative and continually prepares to accept a higher level of responsibility, by training for future advancement and/or for higher level positions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in mechanical, industrial, civil, engineering from a four-year college or university. Desired excellent project and program management skills, ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts, computer proficient; CAD proficiency, TS experience quality system or equivalent helpful. PFMEA analyses, documents, and automotive PPAP and APQP requirements also helpful; solid working knowledge of how to use basic measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial/digital indicators, etc., is preferred.
