Engineering Manager TX Open (J#27223)

Reliant Worldwide Plastics is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. This person will oversee project management teams, bid desk, tool repair facility and other various tasks. This highly visible position will require substantial interface with key customers, and will work closely with Reliant sales and operations, as well as Executive management.

Plans, develops and executes Process and Test Method Validations SPC, APQP, FMEA, PMA in accordance with Reliant procedures and guidelines.
Design or specify and co-ordinate fabrication of all tools / fixtures / dies
Communicates ideas, information and recommendations clearly and effectively, both oral and written, within Reliant, with suppliers, partners and customers.
Prepares or reviews documentation with a high degree of accuracy, completeness and effectiveness.
Working with Operations, applies and promotes lean manufacturing techniques to continuously improve cycle times and process flows.
Uses structured problem solving techniques and statistical methods for data-driven analysis and decisions.
Creates and maintains trusted and dependable client relationships throughout the project process.
Applies and leads DMAIC Six Sigma approaches to identify and solve problems and enhance manufacturing and repeatability.
Plans, executes and manages project activities with cross-functional teams.
Project types include new product development, continuous improvement, cost reduction initiatives, and customer-specific projects.
Practices and demonstrates Reliant Core Values Industry-Leading Quality Management, Sustainable Product Development, Reliable Pro-Active Customer Service, and a Cultural DNA based on continuous improvement.
Coordinates First Article Inspection Process
Supports ISO and AS 9100 work processes and ensures compliance during the engineering/design process
Complete special projects and other duties as assigned
BS in Plastics or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum 7-10 years experience in plastic injection molding is required.
Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes, including precision plastic injection molding, insert molding, mold construction, and prototyping.
10 years in a lean manufacturing environment.
Excellent customer interface experience and solid engineering program management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-starter and must work well under pressure
Advanced Level in 3D Solid Modeling CAD Software (SolidWorks and MoldFlow preferred).
Must be able to manage and deliver results on multiple priorities simultaneously.
Knowledge of Six Sigma, design for Six Sigma, Lean, failure modes and effects analysis, design of experiments and process capability studies.
Process Validation Experience (SPC, APQP, FMEA, PMA)
CAPM or PMP Certification is a plus
Six Sigma Certification is a plus
