Excellent company in Northeast Ohio is searching for an Engineering Manager. The position will manage 3 Engineers. Will scale-up new materials into manufacturing and work on projects improving manufacturing operations. This can relate to new or current products in all North American plants. Provide support, direction, and coordination of engineering and maintenance functions across all business units in the North American manufacturing facilities.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

Provide support for manufacturing capital projects to assure timely and effective completion
Maintain review of all manufacturing expense and capital appropriations and help manage assets
Support plants during catastrophic equipment failures and perform root cause analysis of failure post repair
Support individual manufacturing sites engineering and maintenance
Provide guidance in development of skills within the various engineering and maintenance departments
Represent the parent company while dealing with key major equipment suppliers
Take an active role in engineering reviews performed by our insurance company and any resulting actions required by them or corporate finance (North American operations only)

Good troubleshooting skills
Strong mathematical and mechanical background
Ability to manage multiple projects effectively
Ability to travel 40-60%
Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
10-15 years of experience
Three to five years of relevant color experience; to include experience with color matching, color theory and spectrophotometers
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
Understanding of injection molding and extrusion required
Self-motivated, problem-solver, capable of managing multiple projects, a team player that enjoys a fast-paced environment
Willingness to learn and expand current skill set; open minded
Ability to clearly express ideas verbally and in writing
Demonstrates ethical and moral behavior; unquestionable integrity and character
Cross-cultural awareness
