Roechling Automotive USA, LLP is a global partner to automotive manufacturers and system suppliers. Roechling Automotives core competencies include aerodynamics and acoustics in each segment of the vehicle. Air management consists of the optimization of airflows within the vehicle whether in cooling air ducts, intake pipes, and intake manifolds in the engine compartment, air channels within the passenger compartment, or at the underbody. It is all about airflow, aerodynamic drag, and air turbulence. Ultimately, an efficient flow distribution means less energy input and, consequently, less fuel consumption.

Our Akron, Ohio facility is one of the newest of our 22 global manufacturing facilities. Opening in 2012, Roechling Akron is growing with customers that include Ford, GM, Nissan, BMW and Subaru. We are looking for talented, experienced technical people to join our expanding team.

The Secondary Equipment engineer is part of the project team and responsible for providing and commissioning all secondary equipment for the manufacturing process at a high level of liability and operating efficiency.

Optimize the process and design of secondary equipment and assembly machines to RA Group Standards.
His/her responsibility does not include the molding process itself

Principal Tasks:
*Designing workstations and secondary equipment together with Industrial Engineering and Maintenance
*Creating technical specifications for quotation, purchasing and manufacturing of the equipment
*Follow-up of the manufacturing process, stay in contact with the supplier
*Commissioning of the provided equipment.
*Handing over the manufacturing process to production during a successful run@rate

Subsidiary Tasks:
*Providing technical input for cost estimators
*Supporting P-FMEA development
*Supporting Process Planning
*Plan and deal with Purchasing when necessary

Special Tasks:
*Standardization End of Line Tester software

Skills:
*Must be able to read mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
*Working knowledge of PLCs
*Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic repairs

Other:
*Implement activities for cost savings and better machine and secondary equipment utilization.
*Other duties as needed

Knowledge of customer specific requirements (CSR) necessary through advanced training, or work experience or a combination of the two.
