Automation Engineer NC Open (J#26944)
Experience: 1 - 3 years

Assists in producing Quality Products that meet Customer Expectations and satisfy all Safety and Legal Requirements.

Verify set ups and sampling of all assembly, automation, and secondary production equipment, including sampling of all Engineering changes, new machinery and prototypes.

Establish machine parameters for all production and machine accuracy.

Establish method of documentation of process sheets, set-up matrices, range sheets, process control/monitoring for all new equipment.

Reviews current processes, evaluates, and implements improvements.

Train automation technicians, assembly technicians, and other secondary operation technicians.

Stay current with new developments in the automation and other related processes.

Work with tooling department to improve tooling and machinery.

Suggest product specifications in the purchase of equipment, materials. Evaluate products according to specification and quality standards.

Confer with Plant Manager, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedule, and other considerations to facilitate production process.

Perform all requirements of Project Management (i.e. Documentation and implementation of ECNs, DCRs, Project Files and Print Files)

Automation Engineer must have the ability to troubleshoot, evaluate and implement mechanical and electrical improvements, as well as the ability to read and understand electrical wiring diagrams and PLC programs.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportion to practical situations.
