3D Machinist CA Open (J#27658)
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 4 - 9 years

3D Machinist
Hours: 7-3:30 or 8-4:30
Days: M-F

We are looking for a well experienced 3D machinist, for 3, axis vertical milling machinist.
Qualified candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the following:
Must have experience as a 3D machinist.
Working with Aluminum
High speed machining, profile and contouring of aluminum ( stainless steel is a plus)

Ability to program using Cad Cam Software such as Master CAM or surfcam for CNC Mills. (Lathes is a plus), build fixtures and set up machines, and make sure they are running properly.
Familiarity with Fanuc controls.
Must able be able to work with two other machinist and assist with training and encouragement.
Computer skills are necessary to assist with any documentation needed or scheduling.

* Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

* Programs mills and lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs.

* Sets-up mills by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, and stops; indicating vices; tramming heads.

* Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work-pieces.

* Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

* Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.

* Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

* Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

* Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
