Quality Manager IL Open (J#21440)
Experience: 4 - 9 years

THE JOB:

Our Illinois division seeks a hands-on, results-oriented, customer-driven Quality Assurance Manager to direct its total quality system to:

Insure compliance with company QS, TS, ISO, and other quality standards.
Provide technical expertise and leadership for the quality team.
Provide direction to other operational departments regarding quality issues and handle customer interaction for both proactive (APQP) and reactive (Corrective action response) situations.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS

BS degree is desired.
A minimum of five years quality experience in a manufacturing environment.
Computer proficiency including Excel, Microsoft Word, statistical and calibration programs.
Ability to interact professionally with customers and suppliers to build strong relationships and foster successful negotiations.
Secondary Training in the following areas is also desired: Disciplined problem- solving, good molding practices, plastics technology, and advanced SPC.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage Quality Systems and insure compliance with the TS16949 standard.
Manage quality personnel including metrologists and inspectors
Responsible for the development and recommendation of procedures and activities associated with quality systems, quality engineering and quality assurance.
Recommend procedures and activities related to continuous improvement.
Manage quality engineering activities as required.
Assist in the development of DOE studies with Quality Assurance, Program Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Process Engineering.
Interface with customers regarding quality issues.
Resolve customer complaints & issues.
Recommend procedures relating to statistical process control
Develop training related to quality and statistical process control.
Provide documentation supporting new program development.
Various other miscellaneous duties as required.
