Quality Engineer WI 55 - 65k (J#24901)
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience: 10 - 20 years

SCOPE: Coordinates quality planning and quality improvement activities for new and revised products and processes at all Molded Products Corporation plants

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.Develop, implement and update plans, FMEAs (with design engineering), and test methods
2.Coordinate corrective/preventive action regarding internal, external and system failures including those generated by suppliers
3.Develop and improve process controls in conjunction with process engineering
4.Work with manufacturing engineering, process engineering, and design engineering toward development of processes and technology
5.Design and implement capability studies and experiments intended to improve processes and products
6.Provide training and support in the use of quality tools (e.g., Pareto, Cause/Effect, SPE DOE, etc.)
7.Coordinate quality planning efforts including PPAP submissions where applicable
8.Monitor quality costs, determine high cost areas and coordinate activities to reduce these costs
9.Develop and implement applications of statistical methodology
10.Assist in Maintaining the Calibration System
11.Perform Audits to ensure consistency and compliance to ISO9000-2008
12.Assist production in problem solving daily nonconformances in production and resolve issues between quality and supervision
13.Assist and ensure customer required checks/tests are performed, recorded, and submitted as necessary
14.Assist Engineering and Purchasing to develop and approve new suppliers and improve the existing supply base

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Industrial experience in plastics or rubber molding plant is preferred
2.4-year degree or 10 years Quality experience
3.Professional certification by American Society for Quality (ASQ) as Quality Engineer and/or Quality Auditor
4.Good verbal and written communication skills and good listening skills
5.Ability to communicate accurately and comfortably with all levels of management
6.Knowledge and experience with quality computer software such as spreadsheets, SPC software, designed experiment software, calibration control software, and word processors
7.Physically able to be on feet a majority of the workday
8.Familiar with industrial manufacturing environment and safety concerns
9.Physically able to bend at the waist occasionally
10.Physically able to lift up to 15 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
