Quality Engineer

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000

This position is responsible to coordinate implementation of quality strategy. Position will drive value based focus for problem solving and continuous improvement relating to product quality. An excellent opportunity for a career minded Quality professional.

Responsibilities

- Writing and performing validations in compliance to customer and QMS requirements
- Participate in CAPA investigations, risk reviews and process improvement projects
- Responsible for customer compliant investigations
- Develop or revise inspection procedures compliant to customer and company specifications
- Assist in formulating internal standards, programs, procedures and continual improvement initiatives
- Review and organize statistical data related to manufacturing, providing reports to company management
- Compliance to ISO, AS and regulatory requirements
- Conduct internal process audits

Qualifications

- Minimum five years of quality related experience in the manufacturing industry is required
- Experience with quality management systems is required
- Experience working with highly regulated industries is required
- Knowledge and experience working with ISO 9000, AS9100 and ISO 13485 is needed
- Four year degree in Quality or Engineering is preferred
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills is a must
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC) and quality tools including sampling tables; ability to design and perform required tests using appropriate tools are required
- Excellent computer skills needed
