Injection Molding Process Technician

Position Description and Summary:

The Process Technician assures injection molding processes run to quality and production standards. Addresses various quality issues through process evaluation. Supports production as necessary through mold setup, startup, and shut-down. Continuously monitors processes and equipment and communicates any issues.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

◊ Interface with Quality personnel, Shift Supervisors, and Production Manager on a daily basis to determine technical needs in Operations.

◊ Perform operation startups and shutdowns, executing and recording process adjustments and observations as required.

◊ Provide technical and supervision coverage as required to support Production Department.

◊ Ensure production setups are clean, organized, and in accordance with Work Instructions.

◊ Record information in ERP Software.

Qualifications:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

◊ Strong working knowledge of the design and function of plastics processing equipment.

◊ Solid understanding scientific molding principles.

◊ Strong inspection abilities required to identify part defects, and problem-solving capabilities in understanding root causes of defects.
