Mold Repair AL 40 - 45k (J#25306)
Education: High School
Experience: 1 - 3 years

I. Scope of Job: Knows and applies standard tooling and machining concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Works under general supervision performing a variety of tasks.

II. Job Summary: Constructs and repairs machine shop tools, gages, fixtures, jigs, and Injection Molds for use within the plant.

III. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1.Performs a variety of tasks on molds, tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures, including:

a.Lathe work turning, drilling, threading
b.Tool Sharpening
c.Mill work
d.Surface grinding
e.Welding
f.Drilling
g.Tapping/Threading

IV. Requirements:
1. High School Diploma or its equivalent
2. 2 to 4 years of related experience in a tool room environment, including experience maintaining Injection Molds (polishing, bench/hand work, welding, surface grinding, etc.).

3. Strong Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in the following areas:
a.Knowledge of fabrication techniques, materials, tools and equipment
b.Knowledge of heat treatment is preferred
c.Ability to run all standard machine tools
d.Ability to tool weld and stress weld is preferred
