Electrical Controls OH Open (J#25013)
Education: High School
Experience: 4 - 9 years

Ventra Plastics a premier automotive plastics injection molding facility in Sandusky, Ohio is in need of a Controls/PLC Technician. We produce the highest quality products and systems for the automotive industry. With our extensive plastics, metals and mechanical assemblies' experience, we persistently strive for continuous improvement and on-time delivery of defect-free products.

We provide our customers a comprehensive solution using our collective resources of product engineering, project management, testing, stamping, molding, painting, plating, assembly and shipping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Manage and direct successful implementation of robotic controls initiatives
Develop process/system layouts
Lead and direct all machine controls activities, to include repair, upgrades, and vendor selection Coordinate testing of newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications
Direct and manage facilities projects to maximize manufacturing capabilities, efficiencies, and cost effectiveness
Provide process parameters for cost estimation
Perform capacity study generations and maintenance
Develop and maintain work instruction/standards development, and development of process flows, etc.

Qualifications

Prefer a minimum of five years experience with PLC programming/trouble-shooting in automation/machine-building
Experience with robotics and motion control
Ability to program PLCs using RSLOGIX 5/500/5000
Must have HMI programming experience Factory Talk SE/ME, I/O networking experience, Device Net, Control Net, Ethernet, robot programming experience Fanuc, ABB
Knowledge and experience with vision systems
Must understand common vision inspection practices
Ability to demonstrate high level of analytical and problem solving skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of six-axis robots
Ability of multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
A past history of project management is a plus
A knowledge of molding machines is a plus
Modicon experience is preferred
